“Start It” – Jelu was part of it!

On Saturday, November 22, 2025, the Ellwanger School Center was all about career orientation and talent scouting under the slogan “Start-it.” Numerous companies wanted to counteract the shortage of skilled workers and recruited both future trainees and part-time students.  JELU-Werk  was one of the representatives from the manufacturing industry.

For many years, we have been offering apprenticeships in the professions of industrial clerk (m/f/d) and industrial mechanic (m/f/d). Over the past two years, we have successfully recruited two apprentices in the field of industrial clerks through training fairs. We would be very pleased to find an apprentice industrial mechanic in the future.

In the JELU family, training is considered a good way to start a career and an opportunity for personal and professional development. Thanks to the wide range of training occupations we offer and the family-like support provided throughout the training period, we are able to respond to the individual skills and strengths of our trainees, so that we can offer them a suitable job after they graduate.

Our current apprentice Cristine (2nd year) and our production manager from the owner family, Jonas Stirner, were present at the training fair and were available to answer questions from interested students and their parents about apprenticeships and the company. Tips were shared, internships arranged, and insider information revealed about what it’s like to be an apprentice at JELU.

The response was extremely positive, and our employees also enjoyed a working day away from the office and workshop. We were thrilled with “Start-it” in Ellwangen and are already looking forward to next year’s career orientation fair.
