On 8 July 2022, JELU-Werk officially marked the completion of its new warehouse facility at the company’s Rosenberg site. Although the building has been in use since 2021, the official opening planned for November could not go ahead due to the coronavirus pandemic.
For this reason, the rescheduled “Hocketse”, as a village-fête-style event of this kind is known in Swabian-Alemannic dialect, was all the more popular. Around 300 guests enjoyed the sunny weather and pleasant temperature of 21 degrees at the convivial social gathering.
Current and former employees, tradesmen and building firms, and friends and neighbours of the Ehrler family sat on benches at either side of long tables in the lower area of the new facility, chatting in the relaxed atmosphere over a drink and culinary specialities from the barbecue and salad bar. A DJ was on hand to provide a musical backdrop to the festivities until the last guests wended their way home in the early hours.
Now officially open, the large, three-storey facility covering over 1800 m2 will be used as a machinery and spare parts store as well as providing an extension to the existing raw materials warehouse.
