FIE 2019: JELU extremely satisfied with fair outcome

JELU-WERK exhibited its functional food fibres once again at this year’s Food Ingredients Europe (FIE) show in Paris from 3 to 5 December 2019. Derived from wheat, oats and bamboo, the plant fibres improve the product attributes of bread and baked goods, frozen foods, spices, dairy products, meat and convenience foods as well as aiding the production process. They are used to add texture, as an anti-caking and free-flow agent and to reduce the fat content, among other things. JELU’s food fibres attracted a particularly high level of interest this year, enabling JELU to engage in lively discussion regarding JELUCEL® food fibres with a number of new customers. The management and the JELU sales team were extremely satisfied with the outcome of the fair and the resulting new business opportunities.

The FIE is the world’s biggest trade show for food ingredients and additives. Trade visitors from across the globe come to the show to pick up on new trends and forge new business relationships. Hitherto the FIE was a biennial show alternating between Paris and Frankfurt as venues. From 2020 it will become an annual event, although it will still be staged at alternate exhibition centres.
